Birthday report
April 14, 2009
So on Sunday I turned 29. It’s my last one on my twenties and I don’t feel bad about it. It was a good decade. I moved here, met Ben, we got married, became a mom and many other things. The 30s are going to be my schooling years, and I’m excited!! So I want to show you a few pictures of this weekend.
On Saturday we went to an Argentinian restaurant in San Francisco called El Raigon. The food is very good and I can tell you that they know how to make a good asado (argentinian barbecue)

Then on Sunday we went to Stinson Beach, north of San Francisco. We had lunch at the Sand Dollar Restaurant and walked around the main street. It’s a really cute town. My eye caught sight of a really cute ring so I’ll have to make the drive sometime soon!

Oh, and I got this for my birthday gift:
It was an awesome day! Thank you to everyone who sent me a birthday wish, you guys rock!

R&R report
April 8, 2009
So I’m back from Utah. I’ve been back for 5 days now, but Internet, you wouldn’t believe the amount of CRAP one brings from a vacation. So now that the apartment looks like an apartment and not like a hoarder lives here, I’ll tell you what I did in 2 weeks.
I saw these 2 guys for the first time in 3 1/2 years:

It’s been so good to laugh with them about the stupidest things, and not be afraid to look like I didn’t grow up at all. OK, maybe a little, but I missed them! I met Lucas’ (the one on the left) wife, Gisela and she’s a very nice girl, who looks like a keeper since she didn’t run away in fear of her life.
I went skiing for the 2nd time in 7 years:

I was terrified that I was going to fall so many times my butt would have one massive bruise, but nope, I did awesome! I actually enjoyed myself and went on a few runs looking actually graceful. We’re thinking of doing this an annual thing and we can’t wait to introduce Dallas to the world of skis and snow. I’m dying of cuteness right this second just picturing him on a pair of little skis.
Went to a Jazz game:

This is what I meant when I Twittered about me being all sporty all of the sudden. Skiing and attending a basketball game and then bowling a few days later. I’m suprised I didn’t have a heart attack from all the activity. Although I just watched a bunch of guys play basketball, but hell, it still counts.
I ate this woman’s wonderful cooking:

The few pounds I lost in the few months I’ve been living in SF went out the window the minute she started to cook. I think everyone in that house left a few pounds heavier in those few weeks. We just love her cooking, and we love her!
I also visited a few of my favorite girls, like this one:

It was so good to see her and her cutie pie Mia and I can’t wait to meet the next cutie pie at the end of the summer. She’s awesome.
I also saw my really good friend Brittani who is also in “baking” mode and she’s having a boy. Wish I could’ve visited with her a little longer. I wish I could’ve visited with everyone a little longer, if it were for me I would’ve stayed another month! But the hubby stayed at home (he only came for the skiing and a couple other things and had to come back) and we missed him a lot.
All in all it was a great 2 weeks, and the second I started driving towards Cali I missed them and started thinking of the next time I come back to my awesome Utah.
Oh, and about the actual trip, the 12 hours each way driving with a toddler ALONE, if I ever mention I might go to Utah by car, you have my permission to give me a good kick in the ass. Go ahead and punch me in the face if you’re feeling like it too.
