Kindergarten graduation

10 Jun

Amazing how time just flies by. Last Monday was Dallas’ kindergarten graduation. My parents flew in from Utah and he was so excited to spend some days with them. They are amazing grandparents, they also visit Conner’s grave regularly and they send me pictures of how the grave looks so beautiful with the flowers and balloons and toys they leave him. It means so much to me when I live so far and I can’t visit myself.

We bought the cap and gown because I wanted to keep it, he’s my only one now and I want to keep as many things as I can, without going overboard! He looked so handsome! A few tears escaped while the ceremony went on, we are so proud of him and he had a great year, he’s a very good student!

They had a little song prepared, about moving onto first grade set to the tune of ‘New York New York’. It was adorable! After that the other kindergarten class recited a poem and they handed out the diplomas.

There was a potluck right after and the teacher put a slideshow of all the activities and field trips they had throughout the year. He had a great teacher, Mrs. Prather.

And here we are with our little man. He’s growing so fast and we are so proud of him! Love you buddy!

So sweet, Tami. I can’t believe he’s going to be in first grade. School lunch–YAY! Congratulations, Dallas! I’m so proud of you (I guess Jake can tell you himself since he’s down there visiting).

You go ahead and hold on to anything you want to, Lady. You deserve it. These kids grow up too fast….and I’m going to stop here or I’m going to depress you and me both.

    Love, Amy

Sorry I fell off the face of there earth there, now I am the one struggling to keep up with the blogging world, hehe! What a handsome little man! I love that they wear real cap and gowns so official. Can you believe our babies are growing up so fast?! I am stressing so badly about Brielle starting 1st grade next week… Tear.
