This started when I read Maggie Mason’s blog, Mighty Girl .
She has a list of 100 Things To Do Before I Go . What a great idea! So she inspired me to create my own. I’ve only thought of 61 things so far, but the good thing is that I crossed out a few. Here it is:
- Take a road trip across the U.S.
- Try duck
- Visit the Pyramids of Giza with mom
- Ride a helicopter
- Scuba dive
- Go dog sledding
- Ride a hot air balloon
- Grow vegetables
- Create a foundation in Conner’s name
- Get 1 more tattoo
- Set foot in all fifty states
- Meet Julia Roberts
- Launch my own website
- Take Dallas camping 8/20/09
- Attend the San Francisco Black & White Ball
- Learn Italian
- Stand atop the Great Wall of China
- Go skiing again 12/15/09
- Go to Disneyland 1/8/07
- Sparklers with Ben and Dallas 7/5/10
- Build our dream home
- Set foot in all seven continents
- Stand inside the Taj Mahal
- Write a million dollar check to charity
- Become a good cook
- Buy stock 5/22/09
- Help decorate Dallas’ bike for a neighborhood parade
- Carve our initials inside a heart somewhere
- Know San Francisco like the back of my hand
- See the floating fire lanterns (Loy Krathong – sky lantern festival in Thailand)
- Take a two-week vacation without computers
- Get my nursing degree and become an OR RN
- Learn how to care for Bonsai Trees
- Write a book about Conner’s life
- Celebrate our 10 year anniversary with a trip to Europe
- Throw a block party
- Finish Dallas’ baby book
- Make a better one for Conner
- Do something I think I can’t do (marathon, bungee jump)
- Remove money as a concern
- See a glacier
- Own land
- Have a cat again
- Plant bulbs in a public place
- Go back to visit Argentina with Ben and Dallas
- Live in another country for one year
- Have a family portrait taken
- Attend Ben’s graduation from Medical School
- Give him a memorable grad gift

- Place flowers in Michael Jackson’s grave in Los Angeles

- Own and run a B&B with Ben after retirement
